- If requesting additional images or video, ask for something specific — for example, a picture or video of the puppy with the seller's hand pointing at the puppy's right ear, or a photo with a handwritten note (your name and the current date).
- Authentic sellers should offer payment options linked to a traceable account, such as e-transfer, bank details, PayPal, or credit card. Traceable transaction methods are the safest choice.
- If the price seems too good to be true, call the breeder, ask to see the puppies interact on video — or walk away.
